UTILITY ROUTE SURVEYS

poles.BMP (169806 bytes)

Transmission line route surveys are continually performed by GCT. Our firm has been contracted repeatedly to provide route surveys using conventional survey methods and aerial photogrammetry with GPS for ground control. The work involves establishing long-distance geodetic control, profiles and cross-sections, alignment for construction, right-of-way acquisition, legal descriptions/sketches and boundary surveys for required easements and condemnation.

Utility route projects and Easement surveys have been completed for Alabama Electric Cooperative, Eglin Air Force Base, Okaloosa Gas, Okaloosa County, FL, and Gulf Power Company.

Power Transmission Line surveys for Alabama Electric Cooperative (AEC), alone,  have totaled over 375 miles.
